The average temperature exceeds 20 degree Celsius ensuring near perfect conditions of not too hot and not too cold (something that the World Health Organisation picked up on recommending the climate as one of the most equitable in the World).

The sub-tropical Mediterranean climate is complemented with cool sea breezes in the summer and protection by the surrounding mountains in the winter from the cold north winds. With nearly 3,000 hours of sunshine each year, the Moraira area is a fantastic year-round holiday destination.

Moraira lies between Javea and Calpe, in Costa Blanca, the South-Eastern coast of Spain. It has excellent roads to and from the town. Alicante is approximately 80 kilometres away (1 hour drive) and Valencia is 110 kilometres away (1.5 hours drive). Other resorts nearby include Javea, Calpe, Denia, Altea and Benidorm.

 

Restaurant and Bars in Moraira

There are restaurants, bars and several interesting shops lining the narrow cobbled streets of Moraira. The main restaurants are found in and around the town’s yacht marina. Great fish restaurants and fantastic tapas can be found here, allowing you to while away the hours enjoying the scenery and atmosphere.

If relaxing on the beach or by the pool gets too much for you then there are quite a few activities that you can do in this area of Costa Blanca.

On your Moraira villa holiday it is recommended you hire a car to really appreciate the area’s beauty and many activities and excursions. As well as Moraira and Javea there are some fantastic towns and villages locally by: Calpe, Denia Altea, Benidorm, Villajoyosa and Alicante.

On or in the water there are some great water-sports as well as boat trips and boat hire.

There are numerous Fiestas to enjoy throughout the year in Spain. The most popular months are April, June, July and November.
